The main representative body for nutritional therapists. BANT acts in the interests of its members (i.e. nutritional therapists) but they must all adhere to its Code of Ethics and Practice.
Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council [CNHC] (http://www.cnhc.org.uk)
The national voluntary regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners. The CNHC exists primarily to protect the public. It also represents the complementary healthcare professions in dealings with other regulatory bodies, agencies and government.
Nutritional Therapy Council [NTC] (http://www.nutritionaltherapycouncil.org.uk)
Until recently the NTC has been, and still is to some extent, the regulatory body for the practice of nutritional therapy. It is currently in the process of transferring its register over to the CNHC which, when this is complete, will take over the NTC's regulatory role.
